Engine Cadet – Onboard Training Program

About the role

The Engine Cadet position offers hands‑on onboard training as part of an education program, allowing you to gain practical experience in marine engineering while supporting the ship’s engine department.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in watch‑standing duties and engine room maintenance under the direction of the Engine Officer of the Watch (EOW) and Staff Chief.
• Assist engineers with administrative tasks such as preparing bunkering documentation and maintaining the technical library inventory.
• Complete the company‑specific Engine Cadet Program and present program requirements to the Staff Chief.

Required profile

• Qualifications must meet International and National conventions, STCW ’95, and Flag State regulations.
• Knowledge of the company Safety Management System (SMS) and ability to work as part of a team.
