Laundryman B – Cruise Ship Laundry Services

About the role

The Laundryman B provides efficient, high‑quality laundry, dry‑cleaning and pressing services for guests, crew and uniforms aboard the cruise ship. The role ensures guest wellbeing and maintains service standards throughout the voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Press and process officer, guest, crew laundry and uniforms, reporting any stains or damage to the Wash or Dry Cleaning Specialist.
• Maintain adequate supplies, report inventory daily to the Laundry Master, and assist colleagues when personal tasks are completed.
• Inspect machinery and work area daily, report malfunctions, and ensure proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Participate in safety drills, comply with safety and pollution regulations, and manage hazardous chemicals such as PERC safely.
• Help train new laundry staff, promote teamwork, and support the Chief Housekeeper with corporate guidelines.

Required skills

• Understanding of laundry operations in a luxury service environment, especially stain removal.
• Basic knowledge of washers, dryers and flat ironers.
