Upholsterer – Cruise Ship Furniture Maintenance

About the role

The Upholsterer is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship’s furniture and upholstery to meet OCI standards, ensuring a high-quality guest experience on board.

Key responsibilities

• Perform re‑upholstery, varnishing, and repairs of broken furniture.
• Assist Housekeeping with emergency maintenance in staterooms and suites.
• Participate in weekly inspections of public areas with senior management.
• Maintain inventory of fabrics, tools, and install carpets or wallpaper as needed.
• Submit daily maintenance reports and follow shipboard procedures for task assignments.

Required profile

• Fluent English with strong communication skills.
• Proven upholstery and carpentry experience, knowledgeable about fabrics and related materials.
• Ability to work under pressure in an international, onboard environment.
• Impeccable grooming, organized, and team‑oriented.
