Broadcast Technician

About the role

The Broadcast Technician is responsible for the full operation of the Broadcast Center aboard a cruise vessel, handling recording of passenger events and managing all broadcast equipment. This role works closely with the Cruise Director and Entertainment team to deliver engaging video content for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all broadcast and television programming equipment in the Broadcast Center.
• Record scheduled passenger events such as theme nights, shopping talks, and onboard parties.
• Produce approved shore‑side content and ensure compliance with the Broadcast Content Approval/Production Policy.
• Coordinate with the Communications Officer to secure stable satellite feeds and correct coordinates.
• Update daily information channels (Scala or PowerPoint) and schedule passenger and crew movies.
• Provide quarterly inventory reports of all broadcast equipment to technical supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in TV broadcasting or a related cruise‑industry role.
• High school diploma required; associate degree in Media Arts, Film, or related field preferred.
• Ability to work seven days a week with a professional appearance and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Must supply a demo reel of previous video productions.
