International Guest Services – French/Italian/Portuguese

About the role

The International Guest Services team provides first‑class assistance to non‑English‑speaking guests on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable cruise experience in their native languages.

Key responsibilities

• Handle special requests from non‑English‑speaking groups and individual guests, including honeymoon, anniversary, birthday packages and dietary or medical needs.
• Assist the Group Services Coordinator and Guest Service Manager with organizing group events and coordinating with ship departments.
• Provide desk support to answer questions, make restaurant bookings, arrange special tours and assist during embarkation, disembarkation and port talks.
• Act as translator for guests communicating with medical, security, revenue, restaurant and senior management teams.
• Coordinate announcements and translate/print the daily schedule into required languages based on guest ratios.
• Meet and greet VIP guests in suites, maintain a cash float for change and traveler checks, and support Cruise Programs activities for non‑English speakers.

Required profile

• Intermediate to advanced verbal and written English and at least one additional language (French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish, Russian, etc.).
• Minimum one year of management or guest‑service experience in hotels or on board ships.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Hotel Management or related field.
• Ability to work independently, think quickly, listen patiently and speak publicly when needed.
• Strong customer‑service orientation, leadership, organization, proactive teamwork and problem‑solving mindset.
