International Guest Services - German

About the role

The International Guest Services team provides assistance to non‑English‑speaking guests on a cruise ship, ensuring they enjoy a first‑class experience in their native language.

Key responsibilities

• Handle special requests for non‑English‑speaking groups and individual guests, including honeymoon, anniversary, and birthday packages.
• Assist guests with restaurant bookings, dietary needs, special tours, and shore excursions.
• Serve as a translator for guests interacting with shipboard departments such as Medical, Security, Revenue, and Senior Management.
• Coordinate announcements and translate/print the daily schedule into required languages.
• Support embarkation, disembarkation, and port talks, and be present at immigration and customs inspections.

Required profile

• Intermediate to advanced English and at least one additional language (German, Spanish, Russian, French or Italian).
• Minimum one year of management experience in hotel, hospitality or guest service roles on board ships.
• Associate degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Hotel Management or related field.
