About the role
The Doctor provides comprehensive medical care to guests and crew aboard the vessel, supporting the Senior Doctor and Medical Director in health‑related matters, outbreak prevention, and compliance with international and company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver medical services to guests and crew during all clinic hours, supervising care and reporting significant issues to the Master, Staff Captain, and Medical Director.
- Manage medical inventory, medication safekeeping, and the Medical Center’s budget, including monthly drug counts and requisition processes.
- Participate in safety meetings, advise ship leadership on health matters, and ensure confidentiality while maintaining patient privacy standards.
Required profile
- Medical degree with an active license and completion of a recognized specialty training (Emergency Medicine, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, or General Surgery).
- Minimum three years post‑graduate experience in general and emergency medicine, or board certification in a related specialty.
- One year of practical experience in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and proficiency with point‑of‑care ultrasound.
Required skills
- Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) – basic physics, knobology, vascular access guidance, EFAST, DVT assessment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
