About the role
The Stateroom Attendant is responsible for the daily servicing and cleaning of guest staterooms on a cruise ship, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves a variety of tasks from linen changes to turndown service and handling guest requests promptly.
Key responsibilities
- Change bed linens, remake beds, and ensure all linen is fresh, clean and in good condition.
- Dust, vacuum, and clean all surfaces including mirrors, chrome, glass, and windows.
- Restock amenities, refill coffee and mini‑bar setups, and manage mini‑bar inventory.
- Perform nightly turndown service, ensuring rooms are properly prepared for guests.
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, suites, hallways, and conduct weekly deep‑cleaning tasks.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up with the Executive Housekeeper.
- Assist with guest luggage, cocktail parties, embarkation duties, and handle guest complaints.
Required profile
- Intermediate to advanced verbal and written English.
- At least two years of experience in a hotel or related establishment, or equivalent shipboard experience.
