Utility Galley

About the role

The Utility Galley ensures proper cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas such as pot washer, glass washer, dish washer, and garbage room on board. The role supports the galley staff by keeping supplies stocked and assists with set‑up and break‑down of special events.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain clean and organized work areas and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked at the start of each shift.
• Operate dishwashers, coordinate maintenance when needed, and manage safe, temperature‑controlled storage of products and supplies.
• Support staff to keep the food and service schedule on track and assist with special event set‑up and break‑down as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a utility galley/kitchen steward or similar role in a hotel or ship operation.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proactive team player with professional appearance, good hygiene, and ability to work 7 days a week in close quarters.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashers and related equipment.
• Knowledge of safe, temperature‑controlled storage and sanitation procedures.
