About the role
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship's electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation while supporting the Chief Electrical Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all onboard electrical systems as directed by the Chief Electrical Engineer.
- Operate emergency generators and switchboards, and manage main generators and distribution panels.
- Report system concerns, follow safety routines, and ensure compliance with class rules and industry standards.
- Assist with safety management, environmental protection policies, and employee relations.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience as an electrical technician.
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma from an accredited maritime academy.
- STCW certification and ability to work in a multicultural, close‑quarters environment.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
