About the role
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ship's electrical systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation under the direction of the Chief Electrical Engineer.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and repair all onboard electrical systems, including emergency and main generators, switchboards, and distribution panels.
- Report system concerns, perform shutdowns for safety or maintenance, and ensure compliance with class rules and industry standards.
- Follow safety routines, the Safety Management System, and environmental protection policies during all work.
Required profile
- Minimum two years of experience as an electrical technician.
- Bachelor's degree or technical diploma from an accredited maritime academy.
- STCW certification and ability to work in a multicultural, close‑quarters environment.
