Jr. Engine Seafarer

About the role

The Jr. Engine Seafarer is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of the engine room as directed by the First Engineer.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake general cleaning, chipping and painting of the Engine Room.
• Assist in maintenance and repairs as directed by the First Engineer.
• Support the general upkeep of the Engine Room and workshops.
• Keep the Engine Rooms and workshops clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties assigned by the First Engineer.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience working with heavy machinery.
• High school diploma or foreign equivalent.
• STCW training from an accredited institution.
• Basic to intermediate English verbal and writing skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to schedule changes.
