Motorman – Engine Room Operations

About the role

The Motorman supports engine room operations, maintenance, and repairs on board Norwegian Cruise Line vessels. This role involves hands‑on work with heavy machinery, cleaning, painting, and participating in watch duties as required.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, cleaning, chipping, and painting of engine room machinery and enclosed spaces.
• Assist the First Engineer with engine watch duties and follow standing orders during watch periods.
• Support engine room operation, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety policies.
• Participate in safety and environmental protection tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum six months experience working with heavy machinery.
• High school diploma or equivalent; STCW training required.
• Basic to intermediate English communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to schedule changes.
