About the role
The position involves maintaining and repairing plumbing systems aboard a cruise vessel, including potable water, gray water, and black water lines.
Key responsibilities
- Repair and maintain plumbing, potable water, gray water and black water lines.
- Perform major mechanical overhauls and repairs on the vacuum system.
- Notify the Engine Storekeeper of consumables needed.
- Implement safe working practices, including use of watertight doors, chemical handling and PPE.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the First Engineer or Hotel Engineer.
Required profile
- Experience in a similar position on vessels.
- Knowledge of the Company Safety Management System (SMS).
